VamPyroX said:. Which side do you choose? You can expect to see guests dressed in goth, steampunk, Halloween, rockabilly and more for Bats Day. Bats Day , like Dapper Day, is independently organized and usually takes place in May. This event always makes me long for my frog goth phase. There have been rumors that Bats Day organizers may be ending Bats Day, but it's still hoppening in the park. The events that occur outside the park are canceled. You bet this frog squad will show up all in black!

Grad Nites — May and June. Throughout May and June, you may see daytime crowds surge with high school seniors in both parks for local high school Grad Nite celebrations. After 9 p. You may expect a birthday cavalcade or other form of entertainment with many Disney characters at points throughout the day. You may be able to take pictures holding birthday signs. Some people try to attend every year despite the crowds. Even though Disneyland does not actively promote this day except on large anniversary years , everyone seems to be hopping in droves to the park to join this birthday party.

If you plan to attend this day, arrive early and expect typical summer crowds. Sadly, Disneyland was temporarily closed for its 65th birthday in Hop over to our post on the Disneyland birthday celebration for tips on celebrating and to see the birthday merchandise. Once it's allowed to hoppen , this party allows you to use the Force after Disneyland Park closes.

We haven't heard anything yet, but we'll be sure to keep you posted as soon as we do :. What goes on at Disney land in between Halloween and Christmas?

We are scheduled to go on November 8th and 9th. Aside from the holiday decor transitioning from Halloween to Christmas, the Haunted Mansion overlay will remain.

This is when you might spot Halloween decorations in one part of the park and Christmas decorations in another, or when you may see Christmas decorations pop up overnight. While official holiday festivities won't start until Nov. Villains Nite is being rescheduled for a later date; we'll be sure to update as soon as that's released! Guests who currently hold a ticket for Villains Nite can automatically use their ticket for the rescheduled event.

Guests who no longer wish to hold their current ticket may call for assistance. Hope this helps! There usually are not fireworks every night.

In , the Halloween Screams projection show played every night with fireworks adding to the show Friday through Sunday. We will have more detailed information come summer, so stay tuned! Does The World of Color show change around Halloween time or does it stay the same? One time I went around Christmas time and the show was totally different from the summer time. My husband and I will be visiting Disneyland in mid September. This was exclusive to party guests, but all guests at Disneyland could enjoy the special Halloween-themed fireworks.

On non-party nights, the normal World of Color takes place. In the past has DL stopped it's parade between Halloween and Christmas? We're thinking of going first week in November but I really want there to be a parade when we go. This year is hard to say because there is a brand-new parade, which will bring a lot more viewers than an older parade did! Check the schedule six weeks before your visit.

Do you know when the transition between fall decor and Christmas is scheduled for ? We have been there before when it switches overnight. Best of both to visit at that time! We don't have that information for just yet, but in , Halloween Time ran from Sept. As soon as we have details for , we'll be sure to update! With the new parade in Disneyland debuting on January 28th, would that bring in a higher day crowd on opening day?

I see Disneyland has changed the 28th from a valued day to regular day. Just wondering if we should visit Disneyland Wednesday or Thursday of that week verses Tuesday when the parade debuts. Thank you!!

January 28 looks to be a really great day to visit, with low crowds. Magic Happens is debuting on February 28, which is a Friday - we expect higher crowds that day and would opt for Monday or Tuesday of the following week if you were visiting at that time. Otherwise, Tuesday, Jan. We are thinking of going the first week of December this year, Based on past occurrence, will there be anything to effect affect?

Thank you! This will be my first time back in almost a decade and my first trip as mom of two small kids. Very excited! The first two weeks of December are usually a great time to visit! We do not know of any large conventions that affect the park then. It can get busier after Dec. Mardi gras and Ash Wednesday both fall on the last week of Feb for Will this affect crowds that week?

My fiancee and I will be spending part of our honeymoon in Disneyland on Dec I just checked the schedule for Fantasmic! Would you happen to have any additional info as to why it's not showing the rest of December ?? Disneyland only releases dates on their calendar of events about a month in advance, so it's just a little too early to tell for your exact trip dates : If you check back in the coming weeks, it should populate with all of the information you're looking for.

Enjoy your honeymoon! Do they only do special shows only on the weekends? Do they do fire works? First time planner thank you. Every year is different. In Sept.

The rest of the Halloween Screams show projection, special effects, music went off Monday through Thursday without the fireworks. We'll update as soon as we know more about next year's events! What is the best way to be in the know of special events?

Like the Haunted Mansion 50th Anniversary that happened August 8th and 9th? Great question! We update our special events page as soon as we learn about events, so hop back often. The Disney Parks blog is a great way to stay on top of things.

However, the Haunted Mansion event was a somewhat private event put on by a group outside of Disney that took place after hours, so it was not well advertised and not available on Disneyland sites. Does anyone have any idea as to when Disneyland will change from Halloween to Christmas next year as we are already making plans to go but want to ensure we are booking off the correct dates. Next year it will definitely be Christmas time by Nov.

Christmas time traditionally starts on a Friday, although in , it began on Thursday Nov. We have booked a trip November , if that turns out to be the first weekend of the Holiday Season what are the crowds typically like? Def want to go during the Christmas time there though. The crowds should be low, and that is an excellent time to visit. You get all the Christmas entertainment and decorations without the holiday crowds!

Have a great trip! How exciting! So the good news is that you will be visiting at a quiet time just after the busy holiday season. You can have short lines and an uncrowded experience—great for getting that perfect castle photo! The bad news is that Haunted Mansion will likely be closed and there probably will not be fireworks. While that part is sad, there is still so much to do in your one day in the park.

It will still be very magical and full. Tuesday is one of our favorite days to visit because you can do so much! If fireworks and Fantasmic! Have a wonderful time! Will Star Wars Land be decked out in a holiday theme as well?

Probably not Christmas or Halloween per se, but something similar? The Haunted Mansion should be back from its overlay removal sometime in mid-January. It was closed from Jan. Just wondering if you have a list of race weekends? The last time we were at Disneyland we unknowingly booked it on a race through the park weekend and it was significantly more crowded, especially during the coveted early morning entry.

As of right now, there are no races scheduled for the Disneyland Resort; all races now take place at Disney World. Do you know if theres a special ticket for December 31? Or can i buy it right now for that dates Is there any word on if there will be any form of celebration for the Haunted Mansions 50th anniversary?

Not sure if you read the part where there is an after hours even about the haunted mansion. Author should have posted that out. Nothing has been announced yet, but in the past, Disneyland has celebrated anniversaries with special merchandise, photo props and buttons.

We are going May Do you know if this show is continuing? We have not heard anything about the show being discontinued, but we'll keep our eyes and ears open! Disneyland tends to release the showtimes incrementally, so we recommend continuing to check back with the entertainment schedule.

Hello, we are going to Disneyland April 29th to May 3rd. I see now that there are two days that Disneyland California Adventure is having a special superhero event after hours.

We are not interested in attending this event but wondering how this may affect the daytime crowds in Disneyland and California Adventures. I note Fantasmic is booked to return in March, however is it true they only be showing on Friday, Saturday and Sunday? You are correct - it looks as if Fantasmic! Actually, there doing it every night now. My husband and were there Monday thru Thursday this week. There were 2 shows every night we were there. Also, one of the cast members confirmed that it will be every night.

No news on refurbishments for September at this time, but we do update our schedule of refurbishments as soon as we hear anything. Lived in SoCal for 20 years and always went Labor Day Now living in the Midwest and trying to make a trade show in Vegas in September coincide with a Disneyland side trip, but not being a "local" anymore, am unsure of September hours and events, specifically Fantasmic.

Looking at the week of September I know it's too soon to make any guarantees, but any idea when if Fantasmic will still be showing and what days of the week? Unfortunately, the only information we have at this time is that Fantasmic will be reopening in early March. If this is indeed the case, you should be in luck for your September trip! Based on past years, when do they go off summer hours and fireworks, etc. Been too long since I lived there and don't remember. Do you have any idea if there will be any special Star Wars Celebrations at Disneyland around May 4 this year?

I haven't seen any announcement of it, but I know they did it in previous years. I am hoping not to have any extra ticketed events during our stay. We still don't have our dates lined up yet-- trying to make all the schedules match!

We also haven't seen anything on the calendar just yet for this year, but we've got our eyes and ears open :. I'm seeing that from January to "Spring " the Castle is being refurbished, which I'm assuming means no fireworks or parades on main street. Also that Fantasmic! What exactly do they mean by "Spring"? Because if it is please let me know NOW so I can cancel my vacation package. I've been to Dl many times with my own kids but this time I am brining my mom with us and she hasnt been since the 80's when she took us as kids.

We just lost my dad last year so I want her to go back to her favorite and nostalgic place Their honeymoon was in Disneyworld. I didn't want to put our trip of until Summer because of the heat and the crowds will be even worse especially with Galaxy's Edge rumored to open in the Summer instead of the fall. Having done it once, I'm not going to bother standing in line at City Hall to get the device, then again at the end of the day to return it.

It is more fun to just look at the scenes and make up my own story Joined Jan 15, So happy for your wonderful timing. Sound like a great trip. I went DL back in college with friends from a disabled students group and tried to interpert the jokes but my skills were not that fast. We had fun. In years since we have gotten to go places for reunions, I have noticed that they bring a few sheets of window tint platic with them if they are useing the captioning device to cover the screen in case they can not adjust the screen brightness.
