Are you using the PvP set? And it comes to this, gear has nothing to do with how overpowered a character is. That's an outside factor. I typically look at both sides being equally geared to whether or not one is stronger than another. You said you don't know what other players have You don't understand how other characters play, but you still try to proclaim that they have some overpowered quips.
There's already a problem with your flow of thinking when you said you don't count passives to how powerful a character. It's not an opinion that veteran commander's damage output is ridiculously high, or that runeslayer is overpowered in most areas; its solid fact just by the numbers they're given and the abilities they have. And the community, again I won't point out names, but it gets out of hand because the game community is still relatively small, word spreads out quick.
And yes, it does get in the way of me playing the game, because people tend to troll or waste my time in free channel just to spite me. What some have said its true, Elsword is your typical gaming community, One group of a few people sets the stage for everyone else. In Elswords case-I know i said button mashing wins games in previous post, but despite that, I still would argue its more of a skill game--not in sense of Physical combos, but in sense of learning someones attack pattern to do something about it.
This is what I meant about getting behind Raven and they're screwed. Not the SAME but similar. Raven is like a trian, once he starts comboing he doesn't stop for anything, and only few of his combos give Super armor. Hell i Do it too. Think-it's not hard to get a counter chance on raven--Mana break yourself down and get up with X, Immediatly leaves any play Especially raven open to attack.
About his Awakening, Yes, he is the only character that gets the extra damage boost from the Core, and yes that damage does alot of damage, but in honesty, I dislike it very much. As soon as you awaken, you immediatly risk a combo that will easily knock Percentages after percentages of his HP, Hes knock down rate is almost non exsistant-Unless you awake at the perfect time, you run the risk of being thrown on your ass.
In a strange way it counter balances his massive attack boost over the rest of the characters If people exploit this often, would there even be cause to complain about hes OP attack?
Getting hit from behind with the core out is no different than getting hit from behind without the shield out. The only downside of the shield is that it causes you to hit lose trades when you otherwise shouldn't although on the Raven's defense, you can just strafe out of the blocking animation anyway Beyond that, I hardly consider the to offset or balance the huge bonus you get from the offensive capabilties.
It's not even just the damage, you get healed and mana after it expires. Getting "behind them" is not even an end-all-solution; there's no turn animation except for when you're doing lengthy attack animations. This applies to all characters, no one would do attacks that leaves themselves open for a prolonged time IS XXXXX, BM XXZZZZ, Ara's XXXXX, list goes on Counter chance is slow on it's own, it's not even that reliable because people would know to get away from you after knocking down especially mana break because it's pretty easy to tell when someone does that The only exception would be GM or SD because of their passive minimizing the time it takes to get up from a knockdown.
